Also known as Mrs. Newton 🙂 I’m the creator behind The Newton Edit. Thank you for taking the time to visit my little piece of the internet! I am so happy that you are here.
I am in my thirties, recently married to my best friend, and a mom to our nearly two year old daughter. I met my husband, Michael, on Tinder of all places. It goes without saying, but that app changed my life for the better. Our daughter, Eleanor Grace, was born in December of 2022. You can read all about her birth story here.
I am a work-from-home and a stay-at-home mom. I work for a local college, and am grateful I’ve been allowed to work from home majority of the time so I can be home with my daughter. Working from home with a toddler isn’t the easiest thing in the world, but it is the best of both worlds. Getting to hold onto my income a little longer, while being at home with my girl is truly a blessing. At some point, likely when we have another baby (God willing), I will quit my full time job to fully focus on our children, as we plan to homeschool.
I’ve been in the blogging world since 2018, when I launched my first blog – All Things Ashley Marie. Once we had our daughter, my world kind of got flipped upside down (in the best way), and I took a hiatus from blogging. When I finally started having the time to blog again, All Things Ashley Marie didn’t feel right anymore, because quite frankly, my focus had shifted and it wasn’t all about me – it was about my family, motherhood, etc. so I decided it was time for a change. A new blogging platform, a new layout/design, and a new name. You can read more about that here.
My hope for The Newton Edit, is to serve as a resource on family travels, home decor, motherhood, and eventually homeschooling, all while relighting that creative spark in myself.
